"Hako - Leading the way for a cleaner, more pleasant environment."
Hako Werke is the only European cleaning equipment manfacturer with the EMAS (Environmental Management Audit System) approval certification. This certification demonstrates Hako has a forward thinking proactive approach to environmental management. Managing and measuring its enviromental impact from beginning to end of thier supply chain process.
Since as long ago as the early 1950’s, Hako has been known for quality products with particularly high performance and long life. Today, Hako is one of the World’s leading manufacturers of superior technology for indoor and outdoor cleaning with an international presence in all the important markets.
Our long standing motto, "Superior Technology for a Cleaner, More Pleasant Environment" confirms that we have been dedicated to the topic of the environment for many years, whether in terms of saving resources or the sustainability of valuable materials.
For Hako, the environment is not an abstract concept. We grew up with it. Nature is all around us. No wonder then that from early on we concerned ourselves with caring for and protecting the environment. All our planning and implementation has taken this into account. As far back as 1994, Hako received the ‘Stormarn Cultural Foundation’ award for an exemplary concept for waste prevention and disposal. Further more, since 2004, we have been certified to use the European Union’s EMAS (Environmental Management Audit System) symbol for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Each time we start work on a new product, environmental protection is always an objective. Using 3D CAD we are able to develop alternative design ideas for comparison of applications and their environmental implications. Harsh testing then takes place to ensure that these features are not compromised over the entire life of the machine.
For years, it has been a must for us to manufacture in an environmentally friendly manner. Consumption of materials and energy are the most important issues we consider when improving our environmental impact. Hako uses environmental audits; the formulation of binding environmental guidelines; and environmental management to create the conditions for continuous optimization.
Hako IEC Concept
Hako’s Integrated Environmental Cleaning (IEC) Concept, comprises of Hako Anti-bacterial tanks (certified to ISO22196) increasing hygiene and safety standards, daytime cleaning technology reducing evening energy consumption, certified and patented aqua control brushes delivering up to 50% water and chemical reduction and Hako’s Aquaforce chemical free cleaning system.
Hako Anti-Bac Tanks are available on Hako walk behind scrubber-drier models B45, B70 and B90 with the option of using Hako Daytime Cleaning Batteries and scrubbing with Hako Aqua Control Brushes.
The Hako Daytime Cleaning System uses battery technology in Hako walk behind scrubber-driers that allows interim charging within 20 – 30 minutes and guarantees continuous readiness for use. Daytime Cleaning has also been proven to increase the overall profile of cleaning to the public in broad daylight, promoting a high standard of hygiene.
Hako Aqua Control Brushes truly set the standard in delivering improved cleaning performance and can reduce pad consumption by up to 90%. The brushes can last for over 300 hours before replacement.
Winning the “Innovative Equipment” InClean Award at Ausclean 2011 and a proud national finalist in the NCSA's innovative product award as part of Cleanscene 2012, Hako’s IEC concept is a true innovation in cleaning technology which has been proven to deliver to customers improved performance, on-site productivity, safety and environmental sustainability.
How our environmental thinking equals economical advantages.
With Hako you save water and detergent.
Hako offers you made-to-measure dosage and filling systems, speed-dependent control of the amount of water and, in addition, the Hako Aqua Control System on all automatic scrubbers. This enables you to eliminate inaccurate dosage completely, prevent too much water being used and save up to 50% of water and detergent when cleaning.
With Hako you can reduce dust formation.
Hako proves that it is possible to eliminate dirt and dust without dust pollution. Special filter systems with a degree of separation of up to 99.9% ensures the cleanliness of the exhaust air from our sweepers. In addition, Hako has developed the especially effective and patented R2S Filter cleaning technology. This enables the filter effect to be maintained for longer and allows the life to be increased. With our city cleaning machines, the addition of water in the suction mouth and at the plate brushes as well as a sophisticated air management system ensures maximum dust separation.
With Hako you can reduce exhaust emissions.
The Hako-Citymaster 2000 and all transporters have exhaust emission filter systems with a particulate separation of over 90%. The advantage to you is when using these machines, you will be able to travel to and from work in heavily polluted areas without restriction, even in the future.
For indoor machines LPG and diesel options reduce CO emissions. For complete freedom from emissions, there is the latest high-performance battery technology.
Hako stands for less environmental pollution and a longer machine life.
For Hako environmental thinking means thinking about processes in their entirety. This ranges from design, to production and product use right up to disposal and recycling. In doing so, above all, customer benefit is our primary focus. We are service-providers and partners for those who purchase our machines.
Hako continuously invests in product optimization.
Hako city cleaning machines with optional noise insulation can even be used at night in sensitive areas, and in the automatic scrubber 'B' series, an additional ‘silencer option’ makes the machines much quieter, making them especially suitable for use in hospitals.
These advantages are the results for the usual extensive product tests and pollution studies which Hako conducts before going into production. As a consequence, Hako also achieves a particularly long machine life - greater residual values and sustainability and reduces landfill.
