First responders from across multiple emergency services got their first Australasian glimpse of the HDL250 Rapid Attack Fire Fighting equipment which is able to extinguish most fires using far less water than conventional techniques. It is easy to manage for small – even single person - teams, and has been demonstrated to knock down fires in less time.
Using less water and knocking fires down more rapidly than other methods gives some impressive advantages in the real world of first response fire-fighting: Longer time at a fire front for any size water tank; Reduced recovery and salvage; Potential evidence retention; Reduced fatigue; Reduced angst in a tense situation.
Overseas users in over fifty countries have used the technology to get into more areas than larger trucks, yet with an impressive first response capability. For example, a 400L tank gives over 17 minutes at the fire front. The standard 60m. hose (extendable!) is easy to manage and means flexibility from a single point – ideal for blacking out and for property protection.
Hako HDL 250 can be vehicle mounted or stand-alone.
Users include fire departments both rural and metro, other government agencies, armed services, mining, farming, warehousing and manufacturing.
Statistics from tests conducted in Europe surprised delegates at the show. One car fire extinguished with 32L of water in just over a minute.
The HDL250 Rapid Attack Fire Fighter is available to order now at Hako Australia.
